It was another tremendous spring sports season for Prospect Ridge Academy High School, with dozens of student-athletes earning recognition at the All-League and/or All-State levels.
A total of 29 individual PRA student-athletes or relay teams earned Metro League All-Conference honors in 2026, including 10 First-Team All-Conference winners.Â
At the state level, junior singles’ player Shannon Schmidt earned First-Team All-State recognition after helping lead the girls’ tennis program to its second straight Class 3A Team State Championship runner-up finish. Senior track athlete Elli Schmachtenberger also garnered First Team All-State honors after placing as the Class 3A state runner-up in the girls’ long jump.
Ari Finkelstein, the head coach of the Miners’ boys and girls tennis programs, earned Metro League Coach of the Year in girls’ tennis and Metro League Female Coach of the Year across all sports.
