PRA senior Austin Huffman has been named the high school baseball program’s Athlete of the Month for April after an impressive month on the mound and at the plate.
Offensively, Huffman ended the month hitting .379 with 16 runs batted in and five doubles, while also posting a 5-1 record with an earned run average of 1.84 as the Miners’ ace. One of his wins included the program’s first ever victory over No. 1 ranked Forge Christian.
Huffman would also add a save in April and currently leads all PRA pitchers with 74 strikeouts. He was nominated by head coach Mark Knudson.
