PRA junior guard Jack Brandt has been named the boys’ basketball program’s Athlete of the Month for January after a breakout month that saw him average 29.5 points and 9.0 rebounds.
One of the top scorers in the state, Brandt’s month was highlighted by back-to-back games where he set the school record for points, first with 35 before going off for 36 points the very next game. He was nominated by head coach Scott Iten, who said of Jack:
“As a team captain, Jack leads by example most of the time but his voice carries the most weight in the locker room and on the floor. he defines what a great player should be, a fierce competitor, a leader, and an extension of the coach on the floor.”
