Prospect Ridge Academy senior Carter Armstrong has been named the boys’ tennis program’s Athlete of the Month for October, following his strong final stretch of his senior season.
Armstrong led the Miners as their No. 1 singles’ player this fall and collected two victories at the Class 4A regional tournament, earning a state alternate spot.
He was nominated by his head coach Ari Finkelstein, who said of Carter:
As our No. 1 singles' player, Carter faced the top player from each school week-in and week-out. He also showed leadership throughout the season as one of our Senior Captains, often staying late at matches to support the younger doubles players.
