Prospect Ridge Academy eighth grader Viktor Puga has been named the middle school football program’s Athlete of the Month for October, following a strong finish to the 2026 season on both sides of the ball.
Viktor averaged 3.8 yards a carry as a running back and scored two of the team’s four (A-team) touchdowns during the six-game season. His second and final touchdown coming off a 61-yard run against Kent Denver in the last game of the season in October. He also played offensive line.
On defense, Viktor recorded 2.5 sacks and had 9 solo tackles, 5 of which were tackles for a loss. He had 18 total tackles for the team as a defensive lineman and linebacker.
Viktor was a workhorse for the team. He is tough as nails, almost never leaving the field, even when hurt. Never complained and was a player for coaches and other players to lean on even when things were tough.
